Mary Katrantzou is a Greek-born fashion designer who lives and works in London. At 20, she moved to the US to study architecture and after one year went to the UK to study print design. She then moved on to focus more on textile design and debuted on London Fashion Week in 2008 with a small dress collection. She won the Emerging Talent – Ready-to-Wear award at the British Fashion Awards 2011.
Since then, she has been featured in many high fashion shoots from Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar. And she did capsule collections for Topshop and Longchamp. Her architectural and textile design background has clearly defined her signature style: keeping the printed image central to her aesthetic. Definitely a label to watch.
