Everybody wants a piece of Kling

Elin Kling is a great example of how a blogger can take over the world. This 20-something girl from Sweden made it from local blogging hero to international fashion icon in 5 years!

She started her blog Style by Kling in 2007 and after 2 months it was already the most popular fashion blog in Sweden. This success kicked-off her career as fashion editor of SOLO (Swedish lifestyle magazine) and Expressen (Swedish daily), to eventually starting up her own magazine Styleby (available in Swedish).

In 2010 she made her introduction into television as head stylist of IDOL and she competed on “Dancing with the Stars”. She was the first fashion-blogger in the world to have her own collection for H&M, which was unfortunately only available in Sweden. NET-A-PORTER signed her up for their Spring 2012 campaign, shot by the great Patrick Demarchelier.

This month, she is launching her capsule collection for Guess by Marciano, the brand’s first ever design collaboration.

And the collaborations just go on and on and on.. Everybody wants to have a piece of Kling! It’s clear that a successful blogger needs to be a multi-talent. I wonder how long it will be till a blogger makes the TIME Most Influential People-list.
