Fashion + Music = match made in heaven

Who showed first interest in who? I guess it’s a chicken and egg story, but one things is for sure: it works. The 2 most recent collaborations are with Kate Moss + George Michael and Guess + Tiesto.

Guess is teaming up with DJ and producer Tiesto for a limited-edition capsule collection and branded performances. The first result of that partnership will be in store next month: a Tiesto by Guess watch. An apparel collection will follow in October. Tiesto’s performances (supported by Guess) begin July 23 in Ibiza and continue through 2013. All the details about the partnership will be posted on, but for now you can register on the Guess website for updates.

George Michael and Kate Moss got together for the videoclip of George’s new single White Light. George Michael already used the fashion world as an inspiration in 1990 for his videoclip Freedom, featuring the super models from that time. That clip was a huge hit and has become a real classic. I don’t think the White Light clip will have the same success though. But at least Kate Moss looks amazing in it…

Iggy Pop new face of Eleven Paris

What could Iggy Pop possibly have that we want in our wardrobe?

Hm, not that much if you ask me…

Apparently the brand ELEVEN PARIS thought differently about that. Admittedly the brand is very Rock & Roll, so it does make sense in a way… But still a brave choice to make. Although I think it’s more of a marketing statement: shock to get attention. And it’s working. Being differint and pushing the boundaries is what Eleven Paris, founded in 2003, stands for.

Absolutely Fabulous Kate Moss

Eddie an Patsy are back! Sweetie! Darling!

Kate Moss and Stella McCartney star in a special episode of Absolutely Fabulous, created for Sport Relief. Broadcasting this Friday on BBC1. Here is a short preview.

For those who don’t know AbFab: it’s a Britisch sitcom created by Jenefer Saunders. The series features Saunders as Edina Monsoon, a heavy-drinking, drug-abusing PR agent who spends her time chasing bizarre fads in a desperate attempt to stay young and “hip.” Edina is joined in her quest by magazine editor Patsy Stone, her best friend and enabler, whose drug abuse, alcohol consumption, and promiscuity far eclipse Edina’s comparatively mild self-destructive behavior.

Jennifer Saunders is working on a film and the BBC is urging her to write a new series for 2013. I can’t wait to see it, Darling!

I found the the full episode of the Xmas special 2011 on Perez Hilton. Just hilarious! Quoting Patsy commenting on Brigitte Bardot: “If you can’t safe the face, safe the animals…”
