…by putting a great floral or multi-colored scarf in your hair. Dolce & Gabbana went completely for the trend this season and it fit perfectly within their Sicilia theme. If you don’t have ideas how to wear a scarf in your hair, you can opt for the easy style of D&G or check out this cool video I found with 12 styles on how to wrap a scarf.
Check out these great scarves…. and most of them are on sale right now!

Lots of the new must-have sunglasses for this summer are real collectors’ items and statement pieces. Mainly because they are big and bold or have interesting frames. The cat-eye sunglasses from last year are still in popular demand, some of them with a more futuristic or extravagant twist. Last year we were all in search of the perfect statement necklace, I guess this year we will be making that fashion statement with sunglasses.
Below you can find my selection of the most on trend sunglasses for this season:
…like a deep blue sea, on a blue blue day – Elton John
We’ve seen a lot of blue eyes on the runway: vivid blue eyeshadow, eyeliner and kajal. It’s all allowed, but you might want to experiment with this trend in your bathroom first.
PRINT There are 2 trends that I prefer to ignore coming season:
1. the exaggerated broad shoulders as seen on the Balmain catwalk and
2. the cropped tops showing off the midriff.
The first one makes me think too much of the “epaulettes” in the eighties and the second one of my party clubbing years in the nineties when I could carry this off…
That doesn’t come as a surprise, but the whites we saw on the catwalk had lots of sheer, cut-outs or appliqués. Go for white with a twist like we saw at Stella Mc Cartney, Alexander Wang or Jil Sander!Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney, Valentino
Vera Wang, Prada, Jil Sander, Elie Saab
Not your typical summer colour, but the power dressing from this winter had its influence on the spring collections. Leather is still popular, but also here lots of sheer and cut-outs. The most “black” collection was definitely the one from Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent.Alexander Wang, Lanvin, Ralph Lauren,
Ann Demeulemeester, Emilio Pucci, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent
THE trend for the season is B/W in many different combinations, but my favorite is definitely what Marc Jacobs showed at Louis Vuitton. Monochrome is the magic word, in stripes or squares, frills or hula-hoop bags. The choice is yours.Louis Vuitton, Balmain, Calvin Klein,
Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel
I am just getting ready for the winter and completely in the mood for fall fashion shopping….and there we already have the summer fashion shows lined up. I try not to dive too deep into them (which is difficult), but I couldn’t hold this huge trend evolution back from you.
SMILING is back in fashion :-)
We spotted Victoria Beckham, yes you read it right, smiling and giggling on her the catwalk! And Philip Treacy’s Michael Jackson collection featured huge smiley faces.
Isn’t that a great trend…and it doesn’t cost anything!
Just say cheeeeeeese.
